At Athena Women’s Clinic, we aim to make your experience smooth and stress-free. Below is helpful information on payment, Medicare rebates, and appointment policies.

Consultations & Procedures

Consultations and procedures at the clinic are billed according to the length and type of care provided. If you would like more detailed information before your appointment, our reception staff will be happy to guide you.

Medicare Rebates

For patients eligible for Medicare, rebates can be claimed at the time of payment through our electronic claiming system. Once processed, the rebate is usually deposited directly into your nominated bank account within a few days. To avoid delays, we recommend ensuring your bank details are current with Medicare.

Payment Options

Payment is made on the day of your appointment, and we accept a range of options including EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard, and AMEX. Telehealth consultations attract the same Medicare rebate entitlements as in-person visits, provided eligibility requirements are met.

At our women’s clinic, walk-ins are generally not encouraged. Therefore, we recommend calling ahead to inquire about availability. Depending on the category or urgency of your needs, we may be able to accommodate you on the same day. Additionally, please note that home visits are only provided after prior arrangements have been made with the client.

DNA Policy: If you are unable to attend your appointment for any reason, please contact the women’s clinic at least one hour prior to your booking. Otherwise, late cancellations and/or failure to attend will result in a $20.00 non-attendance fee. Consequently, this fee must be paid before any further bookings can be made.
