Accessing Your Test Results at Athena Women’s Clinic

At Athena Women’s Clinic, we understand that receiving your medical test results promptly and clearly is an essential part of your healthcare journey. Our team follows a secure, patient-centred process to ensure every pathology, blood test, ultrasound, and diagnostic result is thoroughly reviewed by your GP. This helps us provide accurate guidance and timely follow-up care to support your health and wellbeing.

How We Manage Your Test Results

We work closely with leading pathology and imaging providers to ensure your results reach us as quickly as possible. Once received:

  • Your GP reviews every result personally to ensure accuracy and context.
  • You will be contacted if your results require follow-up, additional tests, or a medical review.
  • Routine or non-urgent results may be discussed at your next scheduled appointment.
  • Urgent or unexpected findings will be prioritised, and you will be notified promptly.

    This process ensures that every patient receives safe, high-quality, and personalised women’s health care.

When Will Your Results Be Ready?

Result timing can vary depending on the type of test:

  • Blood tests: Usually within 24–72 hoursHormonal or specialised investigations: 3–7 days
  • Ultrasounds & imaging: 24–72 hours (depending on reporting timelines)
  • Cervical screening tests: Up to 2 weeks

Please note: Your GP must review your results before they can be released.

How To Access Your Results?

For your privacy and safety, we do not provide results via email or SMS. To discuss your results, you may:

1. Book a Telehealth Appointment
Ideal for discussing blood tests, hormonal panels, and follow-up questions.
2. Book an In-Clinic Consultation

Recommended if results require physical examination, treatment planning, or further assessment.

3. Receive a Call from Our Team

If your results are urgent or require prompt follow-up, our nurse or GP will contact you directly.

Why We Don’t Give Results Over The Phone Without An Appointment?

Test results can be complex and often require:

  • Clinical interpretation
  • Comparison with previous results
  • Personalised medical advice
  • Planning next steps or treatments

Discussing results within a consultation ensures accuracy, privacy, and high-quality medical care.
